new years resolution

as part of the new year I am going on a boy fast.

ChRiStMaS iS hErE!!!!

I had so much fun!! I got lots of cute stuff and I love them all!! thanks to everyone who gave me presents!! I got clothes, earphones, giftcard for target, uggs, knee socks, skinny jeans, sweaters, gloves, makeup, necklace, magnet board, my dad framed a picture that I painted, a book that is signed by the author, and if theres something i forgot.... Ill add it later!!

TWO WEEKS OFF SCHOOL? I dont know if my mother will be able to handle it!!

I now have 2 weeks off school! I'm so exited! yesterday we had our cast party and my friend and I took a video of me being "drunk"! this is what happens when you leave me alone with half a bottle of sparkling cider! :)

so today was my choir concert and the percussion Ensamble was AMAZING!! LOVE YOU GUYS!! I had a little too much sugar lol.
so I was talking to Jordyn Hansen and we went over to talk to our dads, cuz they were talking to eachother. and my dad mentions that him and jeff (jordyns dad) grew up together! I know small world right. then my mom says that when she was pregnant with me we went to jeff and nicoles (jordyns parents) wedding. then we get home and my mom has baby pictures of jordyn and they are hilarious!I love them!
Right now I am listening to Jake Ostlers CD. He is in my grade and hes the most amazing piano player EVER!! hes awesome!! well tata for now!!

I saw twilight and I loved it!! Edwards sparkling was so fake! jacob was ugly! mike was funny so was eric edward was awesome excuse my bad english (no commas) gotta type fast!! BYU is going to win!! alice was so perfect rosalie was pretty good emmet was hot!! loved him!!! loved charlie didn't like who played him but I started to llike him he was funny lol! well enough for now! I loved it!

speech, busy, basketball, play, everything...sooo busy!!

I didn't place in the speech festival but I'm okay with it. I did my best, thats all that matters.
I tried out for basketball today and hopefully I get on the team! that would be rad.
I have to memorize all my lines for my play so wish me luck! :)

Immigration

The word immigrate means to come to a country of which one is not a native, usually for permanent residence. When you think about immigration you never think it would happen to you or anyone close to you because you don’t think it’s your problem. Little did I know that I would gain and lose a friend to immigration.
In third world countries there is poverty. Some of the people in poverty are willing and able to work hard. They come to the United States looking for honest hard work. True, some people that come aren’t honest. They come through the border showing fake identifications, visas, passports, green cards, etc. Then they make trouble and expect the government to not put them in jail because they’re an immigrant. Some people come into the United States, looking for work, but having no way to support themselves or their families. Because of the troublemakers and the people who rely on the government, the citizens of the United States are reluctant to open the borders.
Some people come with the understanding that to gain the trust of the United States they must work hard. They come and apply to get citizenship or a green card. Sometimes they are able to get them faster and others cannot get them for up to 10 years! For example, my friend’s family, had been living here for about six years, never causing trouble, or relying on the United States, and they still had to be deported because their citizenship had not been accepted yet.
Our country was built upon immigrants, built upon their sweat, and tears, and their dreams. If there were no immigrants then there would be no America. Not all of the people that came, or still come, are all poor. Some came to have freedom of religion. Some came looking for a better life. Some came looking for money. Still some came because they had no choice.
Our economy is failing. Stock markets are going way down, and we have had one of the biggest bank crashes in history. The economy is so bad that the government called it a recession. Recession means going back or a withdrawal. The United States is telling the immigrants, to go back to their home country. They are doing this so that they can give all the jobs to Americans. Many of the immigrants were attempting to get citizenship before the recession was declared.
I believe that if an immigrant, or a family of immigrants, is legalized, and paying taxes, has a job, is not relying on the United States to feed them or clothe them, they should be able to stay. If they are providing for themselves and their family then their application for citizenship should be put at the top of a stack. What our economy needs is for the people of the United States, be them immigrant or not, to work together, to make peace between countries, and bring our economy up. That is what I believe.

my birthday!

Today is my birthday!! I'm finally 14. If I was in Canada right now I could drive, well start to drive anyway. last night I went to madame butterfly with my two friends annika and caitlin! then we went to leatherbys and we had so much fun. then today i went to the BYU football game and we won of course! 42-39! annika came with me! now I am babysitting, cuz noone had time to hang out with me on my birthday. well thats life right! well d2h anyway! love you all!!!

I had lots of fun at kodachrome!! we went on lots of hikes and I got lots of exersice. we went through these slot canyons and it was kinda funny, cuz I kinda fell off a small cliff. it was at the end of the slot canyon and it just dropped odwn and I fell and now I have do many bruises I cant even count them!! well love ya lots!!

what are we gonna do? my moms gone at scrapaway and my best friend is leaving to canada!! I think I will go die of sadness!!! sorry but I dont know if i can live through her leaving! sure she'llvisit but I wont be able to see her for such a long time!!!!!!! the movers are there today. why canada! why anywhere!!!!! right now I am mad at the government!!!! i kinda want to sue them and I could but i would probably lose. but Id be on the news right? well right now I am going to go eat a gallon on ice cream then go lose all of the new fat on the wii fit. lol I dont actually know if it works tho. oh well!! i hate the process of losing weight! its so hard especially when you are in a really sad time. I really hate hormones!! they are so horrible!! they really are!! well enough venting for now!! so long farewell aufveidersein (sp?)
